death

death will come to all
eventually.
death will bring joy.
death will bring grief.
death will pass over us in disbelief
that we haven't killed ourselves with
pollution and stupidity.

death will breathe in every last breath.
death will drink every last drop.
death will come to
stop this stupidity.

death will conquer the world with
one too many cars, factories, stores,
and
spilled oil cans in the ocean.
death will conquer the world with
one more slab of concrete
for
an imginary store.

one more SUV and Hummer
will
write on our
tombstone.
one more useless factory
will
write our
wills out.
and
one more pointless, space-invading store
will
write our
funeral speeches.

ladies and gentlemen,
death has come to us
whether
we know it or not.

Bravo. I like the personification, and the idea behind it. You've never show your philosophic side as much as you should--you have good points.
