In the deepest, darkest moments

       of the night

I wake from a dream where

      I have had you in sight

And shattered to realise

      saddened to know

You're not really there

      I had to let you go,

Maybe just a short time

      maybe forever

But my friendship with you

      may we not sever.

It's true it hurts

      to be so far apart,

I'm just getting to know you

      and make a fresh start.

I feel like my true love

      I have finally found

But worried that

      you think it is only rebound.

To you I would like to get very close

      if only we had the chance,

Right now, we dont

      so I take the matador stance

"I can handle it,

      I'm tough" I say.

In truth I cant wait for this time

      to be out of the way.

I have you in my dreams

      my hope I will not ban

Some day will be better

      my precious, gentle, funny man.
