Crawling through the darkness

With nothing to see

Shadows coming forward

Begging on my knees

There beyond the trees

Eyes shown so bright

Warmth engulfed me 

Embraced by the night

You held me close

Forgetting our sins

Washed upon dreaded shores

The loneliness within

Through salty lashes

The fear was gone

Another child of night

To wake together the dawn
