Two separate hearts
Two separate hearts,
They were never supposed to be apart.
Fate took you away,
But maybe just for now.
So tomorrows just another day,
Another day I will go on.
Not knowing what it would be like,
If you weren’t gone.
Destiny will bring you back to me at one point.
I’ll never know if that will be soon,
Or if you’ll always be there,
While I’m growing up, exploring earth, life, and the moon.
Two separate hearts,
Longing to be together
If nothing will join us, I understand.
I guess it’s just bad weather,
A storm or a hurricane
Maybe just a bump in the road.
Yet nobody knows what the future can hold.
The distances our hearts have traveled
My whole life seems to be unraveled,
Just in the palm of your hand.
Although your just one man.
Two separate hearts.
Someday you’ll come back to me
And when you do nothing will take us apart.
Fate may have taken him away for a while but the future is for you and him to cherish. Each day, minute or moments...spent together will build new foundations for your relationship. The bond between father and daughter can never be broken. I truly hope you don't feel like he will never be there for you because you are all he speaks of. The poem was beautiful.
