Drugs and Alcoholism
Traveling on this earth,
Struggling to keep your grades up.
Going out on school nights,
Just trying to live it up.
You’d never understand how stupid you make yourself look
Your phone keeps ringing until it’s beeping off the hook.
Giving kisses on the lips kisses all over everyone’s body,
Running for the car got everyone screaming shotty.
Blasting up the music,
Chugging down the bottles.
All you wanted to do was get fucked up.
It’s all just fun and games,
Until that one-time things go wrong,
Maybe you’ll wake up sick and wearing nothing but a thong.
Or maybe you were in a car,
Going hella fast,
Then all of the sudden the fucking car crashed.
But you would have never thought twice you just wanted to get smashed.
Just maybe you’ll be so lucky to live after alcohol poison,
Go to the hospital but still don’t think twice about your choices.
Trying to live your life crammed into teenage years.
Did you forget you have your whole life ahead of you,
and you say you care about your careers?
There’s just a little something in your blood causing you to be extreme.
You don’t even realize your living your life-walking tip toed on a high beam.
Yea I want to have fun too and I want to live my life.
But sometimes there are things in life that we must sacrifice.
There was a time when I was like that too.
Getting drunk, smoking bud was all I wanted to do.
But now I’ve realized,
Because I’ve opened up my eyes.
There’s no reason to live like that,
Covering up your blood shot eyes with visine & a tilted black hat.
Though I am young ,
still I understand.
There are things that need to get done.
It seems you’ve got a little problem,
Maybe someday you’ll find a better way of living
But until then you’ll just be going down the same path.
What’s going to happen in the end?
