pour your heart out
your favorite color
your favorite band
your favorite movie
i want to know them all.
and your struggles,
your worst nightmares
your worst memories
your worst relationships
i want to understand them all.
open up to me
give me your trust
give me your faith
give me your love
i want them all.
don't question why
why you let your guard down
why you feel so vulnerable
why you would do anything for me
so one day i will leave you
and you'll stop writing
your love stories
you will have no happy ending
and i'm sorry
you didn't see it coming
it's not my fault
i hit the ground running
i can't help that
you didn't see who i was becoming
i'm not who you thought i was
your dreams,
your fairy tales,
they masked reality.
i never cared about
your trust,
your love,
i never cared about you,
it's true.
being swept off your feet,
kissing in the rain,
long walks on the beach,
that's all you ever wanted
in the end, you're all alone
just you and your expectations
contemplating your disappointments
The saying, "everybody you
The saying, "everybody you meet wants something from you"....well, for the most part...it is true. Be the person who wants nothing from anyone and the right people will notice you, but the right ones, who are like you, will be few and far between, so when you find them try to hold on and cherish time spent. In the end...all that we can ever take from those we cherish are memories... make them good.

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."
"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
