for all of these words that i write

i feel death closing in on the fight

the love and compassion that's right

being destroyed by the ones with no sight

and so lord if it happens that i die tonight

my only wish is through these words that i write

that someone might see the light..

i know there's more to this thing called life

than pointless hype and stereotype

but if society fails to see what's real

and remain afraid to be felt and feel

then i guess i feel like a mouse in a wheel
