Empty Pages

They say life’s an open book, don’t close it till it’s done,

Well I say make memories your ink, starting at page one,

From day one, make the most of your time, say what,

You mean, and mean what you say, and take what,

You need but remember nothing will make it go away,

It’s life and it’s hard, but of stress I discard, I’m this far,

I’ve watched enough wounds emerge into scars,

But still I reach for the stars, while my head’s in the clouds,

Some may be having their doubts, but I’ll be having no drought,

My mind floods itself and airs itself out, I hear myself now,

Loud and clear, I steer myself now, just proud to be here.
