drop the boulders from my shoulders,

release my smile from it's holster,

and i'm not on any posters,

so if you want a look come closer,

once in a while my grin breaks free,

come and see the real side of me,

not some depressed psycho freak,

so please think before you speak,

it's just my smile becomes disguised,

when frequently exposed to lies,

so i just let it run and hide,

until the time it decides to shine,

i don't live life with a plan,

so just come catch me if you can,

if spontaneity you can't stand,

then i'm definitely not your man,

by the time it's all said and done,

no telling what i'll have become,

but as long as i'm smiling in the sun,

you'll know that i'm having fun.
