you are me and i am you

we both have feelings oh so blue

friends are missed, never ignored

i'm praying now, can you hear me lord?

if you can please soothe my soul

for since that date it's held a hole

a wound in me that does not heal

i'm going numb, i cannot feel

lift these clouds from above my head

reveal the sun and the light it sheds

show me my purpose, my set plan

i'm confused and need to understand

this world before me is so cold and cruel

leading me to believe i'm just a fool

but i know my limits and my potential

look in these eyes and forget credentials

take a chance to give me one of my own

and let me travel far away from my home

let me explore and see what is to be seen

and what i don't get around to i'll see in my dreams
