June bugs, oh how I hate them

it seems they're all over the place

in Michigan  the streets and windows are full

and they even fly into you're face

They tumble on the sidewalks, and you squish them

with their wings all flipped out and a flutter

if they were food you'd never go hungry

so i just sweep them down in the gutter

I think there's no reason for their being

they just annoy, and they're a pest to all

and I'm happy as heck, that they just come in June

and never in the fall
