If yesterday could come again

and be like it was before

I'd welcome it with open arms

and wouldn't ask for more

If we could do again, the things

we did on yesterday

my heart would burst with happiness

for you'd be here to stay

If I could love you just one time

when winter roses bloom

I think my soul would die from joy

it could't be to soon

If you could come again tonight

just like you did before

I'd hold you close unto my heart

and never let you go

For yesterday seems like a dream

for sunny days with you were sweet

to day is frosty like the wintertime

cold and incomplete

It was yesterday, you went away

never to return

to fly on angel wings above

a golden crown to earn

And soon I'll be there with you

and I can hardly wait to go

for my love does reach beyond the stars

so much you'll never know
