when heavens have opened up
and stars have shown so brightly
and passions have burned out of control
when every breath you take
brings you closer to your goal
when you sing love songs in the night
when arm's have ached to hold
the one so loved
the one so sought, with perfect smile
and tears seem far away
and laughter so jubiant and bright
descend from cloudless skies
to keep sweet love at bay
to once have loved
and given all your soul
and have climbed tall mountain peaks
so ancient and so old
with you
when feelings soared and you were mine
oh such a precious, special time
when love was ours

and heart aches left to hold

why does it slip away

like some teasing wispy vespor
with clouds to hide the sun
