falling in love with someone doesn't happen over night

it happens a little bit more each and every day

you experience each stage that gets you to that moment

all the ups and downs all along the way

for some people it takes months, and for some years

it's not something you rush, it's something you feel

and when you finally reach that point with the other person

it's a level of happiness that's never felt that real

and i'm ready to take those months or maybe those years

because there's something that makes you worth the wait

i can feel myself falling into the great unknown

and i fall even more day by day
