Mindless, that's what you are
What you did used not one piece
Of that magnificent brain of yours
And even less of your heart
If only you'd come to me
Something useful
Could have been concocted
From the stews of both our minds
So alike
Except, obviously, in this one way
Now look at you
Curled up and weeping like a baby
Wretched and destitute
I gave you everything
You used that
And even things I did not give you
Things you claimed as your own
Do you realize what could have happened?
Are you aware of the life that could have been toppled?
Did you even ponder the possibilities of your idiocy?
Has the anguish you've put people through
tickled even a mote of conscience in that sad, sick
troubled film you call a soul?
Do you realize the inadequacy of the words "I'm sorry"?
Suffer your worthless albums of failed honor for the rest of your days
Suffer and burn in the hell you've wrapped around
yourself
Enough. That's enough.
Betrayal is an interesting mouthful of ashes.
Oooh. I like this! I have wantd to ask someone these questions for a while... Just haven't found the right forum to do so... poetry may be the answer.
Thanks for the inspiration.
