VI.

Alex Strum sleeps in the forest.

Alex Strum knows the difference

between climbing stairs

and having them descend below his feet.

Some suggest that he is a worm,

or a lost ship, or a gentleman.

Others think he's nothing much at all.

He could be Dionysus, but then again

he is neither Greek, nor god,

but it's fine; Dionysus didn't have

much real power anyway.

He mostly drank wine, which Alex Strum

can certainly do, or could do,

until he became tragically aware

that going up a flight of stairs

is seperate from having stairs bow before you,

and that they are neither good, nor bad,

and show no bias, but just exist

to be affected and perceived by everyone else,

which would explain why now
