(awake
(nothingness).
crickets stop conversing. the wind ceases to blow. darkness dress the city. streetlights dimming glow. car lights turn off quickly. children laid in bed. grandpa’s chair stopped squeaking. no moonlight over head. silence plays the hour. coldness brings a friend. loneliness whispers softly. my eyes are closed in bed. thoughts are rushing faster. ears begging for sound. arms stretching out miles. for anyone around. but while all else is frozen. covered with the dark. under covers is hidden. a slowly beating heart. warmth just like an angel. held with loving care. a Savior’s assuring promise. that He will always be there. so when the darkness swallows, light and coming sound. just remember in your heart, is where the lighted song is found. rejoice.
