The sun beats down
The music starts to play
And she starts to dance
As the lilies start to sway
The radiance of the sun is caught in her hair
Glistening appearance occupies the strands she wears
With each beat of her long black harp upon her back
The more the lilies began to stack
There aloof he came to meet her in the flowers
He saw her dancing in the lilies
After playing his violin
From across the mountains he came to see her
Dressed in blue and white
She stopped but for a moment
To see him standing before her
Earth shattering looks exchanged
Yet in the midst of his welcoming smile
Her hearted ached on the floral stage which they stood
He felt and urge to touch her face
That was pure and soft to his view
But then she quickly turned away
Continuing to dance in the lilies that hold her face away
The lilies were plucked away from his feet
As she moved on northward
Twirling to the song made
By the sun beating down upon her hair
Lilies start growing in place of grass roots which were once there
He took his violin in hand
Played a song or two
Waving his bow across the strings
To a melody he thought he knew
The notes they carried through the velvet petals
She looked, but kept on dancing
The lilies were becoming too thick around her
He could hardly make out her face
In the failure and disappointment
His hands fell at his side
His violin shattered in his hands
For a part of him had died
He watched her sail away on top
Of lilies carrying her high
Her face is now hidden behind
What is now her supply
He traveled back to the mountains
And she moved across the land
Still the lilies swayed
And still she danced
It was her music that played
As the sun beat down
