i stumbled blind into victory
i landed somewhere among the trees
ghosts of scars came forth on my hands
as i glimpsed through the foreign land
urged to move, to walk, to sprint
a hurried laugh, a quiet grin
i knew it much but forever instilled
the thought of past, the quiet shrill
there in the thickness i stood and saw
a trunk of a tree, i knew was tall
cut with a thundered cry
sliced wide open, a hit from the sky
as i embraced this tree of life
it’s scar remained just as mine
but when my eyes looked to see
the ghostly scars were not on me
a gaze up, i recognized
this tree of life had taken mine
at the moment of my heart expand
from around the tree i felt hands
grasping tightly, my fingers tied
around this tree on both sides
as a whole, i saw, i knew
i found another
all through You
