Most of the characters described in the sequence entitled, Circa 1976, are fictive and metaphorical; with the primary exception of BlueLevels, and certain others, who are historically or circumstantially factual. Likewise, the fictive and metaphorical characters have all attained the minimum age of adult consent; with the primary exception of BlueLevels, and certain others, due to their historical or circumstantial ages. Because all of the sequence is a metaphorical expression, to BlueLevels, of affections, emotions, and imaginations that should have been disclosed to him in 1976, these age and identity details are poetically irrelevant; but, acknowledging the fastidious pruderies of certain actual or potential critics, I wanted to post this disclaimer. In the Summer of 1976, I was just barely eighteen years old, and BlueLevels reached that particular milestone in November, 1976. But this detail was totally and forgetably unimportant to two best friends intent on enjoying a fling of mostly weekend, or weekday evening, adventures. And to those who believe that this metaphorical expression to BlueLevels is inappropriate, I would offer the words of Scripture---from Saint Paul's Epistle to Saint Titus 1:15: Unto the pure all things are pure: \but unto the defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiledi.
