Oh Lord, Savior, Christ, and God's Regnant Son,
You (prefigured in all the kindnesses done
by BlueShift), welcomed me, called me by name,
and bestowed upon me the appellation
drawn from one of the truths about Salvation;
nor imposed any prejudiced guilt and shame.
Even in this last of my life's stages---
despite my many epic, and small, fails:
Your merciful Grace, as always, prevails,
and I bear witness to it in these pages.
Your Death and Resurrection cancelled the strife
within my soul, giving me Eternal Life.
The Believing Faith is---with no hesitation
about this---my soul's chief exultation.
ENVOI:
Like Jacob worshipping on his staff, I lean
on this verse: Revelation twenty-two, sixteen;
and on the Faith of Believing Christianity,
despite the kind of apathetic stupidity
that once warped so much of my spiritual history.
Starward
