+ 2ND POEMS: A Brief Poem On The Sign Of The Cross
Lord, I love to make the holy sign of the Cross.
It brings a blessing to sustain my spirit;
a bridge for gaps, a compensation for loss;
an answer to each terror---that I need not fear it.
The cross: sign of my Redeemer and His Believers' Church;
and though some earthly circumstances swerve to lurch
around me, so that sometimes I stumble into wrong,
I know in Whom I have believed, and to Whom I belong.
