God has promised never to abandon me.
His created Cosmos surrounds my life inclusively.
He inspires my soul to declare this in poetry:
that even when bereft of human---social---company,
my faith need not relinquish its contented stability.

Author's Notes/Comments:
The inspiration for this poem began with a reading of Li Bai's poem, "Dú Zuò Jìngtíngshān," in the translation by Red Pine, entitled, "Sitting Alone On Jingting Mountain." After reading the Red Pine's translation, I was reminded of Hebrews 13:5---and the poem began to emerge, almost entirely intact.
