Thanks to our Lord, His Word and Sacraments---the gift

that has just come to me, to give my soul a lift

in the stellaring Faith of Orthodox Christianity

and out of this slump, this slog of perfidy

back to my spiritual family;

out of this rancid and sloppy smirch

upon my soul from which Christ set it free,

and brought again to the ancient Orthodox Church

that my worldliness and flaws cannot smother.
