I try not to let them get to me,
These words that you say
No matter what I do to ignore it,
They hit me the same way
Everything you say,
Just makes me want to cry
Everytime you open your mouth,
It's just another lie
False hopes and broken promises,
Are part of what you are
Your fatherly responsibilities,
Are not up to par
This is just another poem,
To help me get through
When my thoughts and problems
Seem to come from you.
