Poem about Marius

Blood and Gold

how must it be to be so old?

hold a burden no one knows

while one lies listening underneath the snow

everything you love you let go

you do it because she wishes it so

but death befell her in the end

how must it be

to be so lonely?

hide behind a party after the mortal day

only so enemies can attack

take what you love away

the young one you cannot save

they took him and made him a slave

the mortal beauty who you kept safe

turns now to immortal in all her grace

but burns keep her hard to taste

the gift of your goddess heals

the weight of the secret nearly steals

Its seems there is nothing for you to do

you arent reality, but I feel for you

and my heart is warm for the art you once knew

I hope everything you love comes back to you

I wrote this while reading Blood and Gold by Anne Rice... Im not finished yet though
