What I Felt
Last night you did something to me
you made me believe in everything
I understood so much about life, and love
I felt something that I never knew of
how could a feeling like this exist?
because of you I know what true love is
every breath I took was like the first
everything was so new, a fresh rebirth
it felt like every good moment was combined
I saw everything that I was trying to find
it was like I held time and made it melt
I wanted to tell you all the things I felt
but I couldnt put any of it in words
my voice inside my head I heard
but nothing came from my mouth
so desperately I tried to make the words come out
then I listened to you breathing beside me
you had already fallen asleep so softly
so I kept my words to myself like a secret
this was a night I knew I wouldnt forget
just enjoying the feel of our skin
letting a part of myself just sink in
our bodies felt so warm and close together
my hopes are that we can be like this forever
its true I dont know what to expect
but we'll always have a night so perfect
