The Star Inside Us
sometimes I think
that stars are souls
that we each have one within us
and it takes a special person
or special thing
to make them really shine
and sometimes inside us
the star will fall
and our world will feel crushed
somehow we manage to pick it back up
we dust it off the best that we can
you can tell who's bright
and who's faded
but we can all do something
to make our stars a little brighter
eventually all our stars will grow
