"When to End"

Don't put a comma,

Where a full stop should be,

In the bonds that hold us,

We must stand firm and free.

A comma gives a moment,

A pause to help things heal,

But sometimes there's a time,

For an ending that is real.

Not every choice we make,

Should always find its way,

Some roads need to finish,

With a final word to say.

So know when to keep quiet,

And when to let it fall,

Don't put a comma,

When the story has said it all.

Author's Notes/Comments:

don't keep things going if they should end. Sometimes, it's better to stop and move on, rather than trying to fix or drag something out. The poem encourages being strong, knowing when to let go, and accepting that not everything lasts forever
