at these same stars often

and caught glimpses of you 

in their cosmic plethoras 

somehow tilted

to where you are

Your brilliance travels 

past my eyes,

and I slowly

glow as I

search

for your

soul...

How often I've stared
at these same stars
and just never quite
caught their light;
photons and cones
somehow misaligned,
wavelengths askew.
Your fire falls far
from my eyes,
and I slowly
fade as I
search
for your
light.
