I never forget the devastation in your eyes
When you Realised There's no prize for waiting
so many years so many times
Fought like hell not to fall
But I guess destiny gets us all
In the same circle oh so close
Staring at heaven near enough to touch
This is worse than hell I suppose,
but I don't want to sell out
A measly ten years too late in this love charged infinity
Another century of gloom entrusted to us
How much we are favored I can't quite validate or trust
Must've done something wrong to wait
But I don't want another lesson to learn
And I don't want to have to hide
No more agreements no more pain inside
Next time around I'd rather forget you
Don't come I can try to live without you.
All the desperate days sending love on the waves
all the nights you answered the calls
Endless thoughts and impossible aspirations of slaves
I made you a better man and you made me feel
Without even a touch you brought me to life
With that one instantaneous moment I met you
I saw home in your eyes. I knew I couldn't stay far
So stuck in this soul pact ever in time to find you
Just to let you go again.
The cruel reality is we both knew it
And called it by our one name,
a love like ours can never be denied
Lord knows we've tried and tried
Made a pact together that next time around This life
We'll be together with all the temptation denied finally served
A dish more than deserved and soulmate I love you
