The nights are hollow.

I can't seem to get enough ether

To get myself to sleep.

Your annoyance,

Rejection,

And stonewalling,

Has left me on the outside looking in.

I've thought it over,

There's nothing  I can see that crossed the line;

But then that's you hey?

making the insignificant battles count,

As the real ones slip to the side.

Diversions...

Too afraid to admit the truth;

Don't want to hear the counter.

I am pretty good at defending myself;

Only problem is,

Being right doesn't solve the way you feel,

Only love does that.

In its own sweet time.
