The Vampire Beast

Folder:
Political

The vampire bares its fangs,

Ready to sink them deep in faraway lands.

America's heartland,

Beats a lust so beastly,

For another drop...

Of that black blood so greasy.

Iron veins crisscross this globe.

Pumping dark gold back into our homes,

Our cars,

Our products,

Our disposable lives.

Oil is our national narcotic,

"Modern living"...our perpetual high.

The price of peace,

Is the cost of convenience.

The beast would die,

If we'd just stop feeding it.

Yet, we can sacrifice lives,

But not our way of living?

The beast is US,

And there's just no denying it.
