The Knights Tale

A Knights Tale

There was a queen the coldest in all the land

So exquisite, yet what secrets held she, upon her hand?

Invisible words, best left unsaid

Spoken once cannot be unsaid

Her heart was cruel, her eyes were black

Once started there was no going back.

The game she had started was cruel and unfair

Her objective was clear she gave not a care

The King she once loved, but only him

Had something attached like a piece of string

She cut the rope, with a sharpened knife

And in his anger he said you are not my wife

She snorted quite loudly and laughed

Hahahahaha--------------------------------

What can you offer me, I love you no more

Your child I did not want from that horrible hoar

Our children are mine now

That much I vow

The poor Knight was thrown into a prison

He was lost and confused inside a prism

There was no light

And hope was slight

But an Angel was watching that day

And saw the injustice of her way

The Knight rose up and decreed

To all those who suffer at her hands take heed

For though I am spurned

The tables have turned

And my children will once again see

That I love them dearly and am free

The knight began to weep

His battle long and such a leap!

The Angel smiled and held his hand

You are the bravest in all the land

For some secrets you will keep

But your children will not weep

The brave knight asked the Angel why

He said true justice cannot lie

Although the odds are stacked against you

The kindness in your heart will see you through

And soon your children hold you tight

As you read you show them what is right.
