The Dawn breaks singing a song of sadness
She starts to cry, for she knows, she feels
The end is near, at this moment in this place
That’s where she wishes to be
There is such safety in his embrace
Why does he not see, that he’s the one
That opened that door, and let the flood come
And he saved her from drowning
With nothing more than the safety of that embrace
His sweet whispers that it didn’t matter it would be ok
Slowly brought her out of her shell
Made it ok to feel, ok to tell
The damn has been burst, but there is a sense
It’s just too much, she can feel
Him slowly pushing away, does he know
What he’s done the things he has brought
She feels a mess, its hard to express
Why she can’t make the tears stop
As she can feel him run
She’ll be left alone, having to explain again
Why the fear, and the shedding of tears
The rock in her heart and the blankness of her face
She’s struggling to find a way to be free
Of the floods that have been caused
Why can no one see
The pain that comes with breaking of day
Watching him push her further away
It’s hard to say, if she will survive
As once the damns broke it does not stop
There has been a huge flood caused in her heart
And the life raft has been snatched away
