Hands are meant for helping
Hands are meant for holding
Hands are meant for healing
Hands are a part of caring
Hands are a part of sharing
Hands help us to reach out to someone
Hands are there when we need them most
Yet hands are also there for hurting
Hands can cause harm
Hands can cause pain
Hands can give yet they also take away
Hands are our link to everything
Without touch there is nothing to take away
Without touch there is nothing to give away
No matter what a simple touch can mean the world
We all want to change the world
Yet we forget that the power is always there......
Reach out and touch someone when they need it most
A touch has the power to make you feel:
Hands are meant for loving
Without simple touch we can go through life never knowing
What it feels like to be hurting
What it feels like to know someone cares
What it feels like to have someone to share with
When hands cause pain there is someone always there
To give you that hand on the shoulder
Or to help you bandage your wounds
Hands help those who can not hear to communicate
Hands help those who can not see find their way
To go through life without another hand to hold seems a waste
If nothing else, find someone in this life to take hold of your hand
Little children instinctively reach for your hand they are aware
That the hands that reach for them are there to show them the way.
So always walk through your life prepared to lend a hand when it’s needed
Never forget to reach for it when you need to be shown the way
For I will always help to guide you through.
