You fell into the heart of demise
a pale blue screen of what could have been
Pouring little raindrops
outside my window
they take apart
the colors that I thought I knew
blurring them all, I see an image
A faint remembrance of you
Watching, I close my eyes
to search for a tender surprise
blinking once or twice
to see the sky still weeping
perhaps, I like to see
what it was, and what it could be
with eyes that I was not given
but with eyes that stare high and low
The burden that you gave me
made me up and busy
but now that your gone
I listen to the rain fall and go.
