Looking by your window fast

remembering the days that went past

Watching a grin or a smile

Just to see you laugh was worthwhile

But, time has past, years have gone

The world has made me into its pawn

Violence and politics intertwine to no end

It hurts me even more to see them in a friend

In my heart, you are still pure

Every time i think, my heart feels sore

Thinking of words that could have been said

All stuck, engraved to my head

Now, as i watch the sunset

I have so many things in life to regret

but the biggest will always be

the shadow that you were to me

I was shy, and you were bold

You were young, and I was old

No I havent forgotten, and i never will

Your shattered window haunts me still

The gray smile of your photo, seems so white

The world crumbled, as you went out of sight

Like a forest without a dove

Im just a loner who fell in love
