My mother`s studio
My mother`s studio is a very special place, is a chamber of art and inspiration, a place of work and relaxation. In there are many paintings of different sizes, paints of many colors, and many types of brushes, pencils, charcoal, spatulas and imagination. The art of creating from nothing is a quality we possess as human beings made at the image and likeness of our Creator that is why we are creative. That place has witnessed wonderful stories and landscapes, special and sad moments, days of winter and summer. In there have occurred the most grandiose explosions of color and fantasy, and have emerged the greatest creations of an artist. Of course for me it´s much more than a studio, it is a place of freedom, where the morning brainstorming descends to irrigate a field of creativity and a warm afternoon sun makes this seed to germinate successfully. Faced with so much color and material is impossible to resist to do something, in there I have flown in the deepest places of my mind and my heart, looking for something that is impossible to express in words.
That room has seen hours of effort and work of the most important woman in my life. For her, this place is as her room, is her space, every part of this place reflects her essence, substance, and dreams. This room has been an area in which she has been able to develop artistically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally. Her greatest allies are acrylic and mixed, because with this technique she has been able to practice and discover the different possibilities that give the material. My mother found against the white canvas, is free to do whatever she wants, by feeling its texture is as if in her heart broke out in a river of inspiration and thus begins to express her feelings. This room for her and for me represents the passion to live life to the fullest and the need to create a better place for everyone. Also represents a place of gratitude and humility that lets us recognize the joy of living. She through her style becomes reality in abstract and dreamlike, where color and nature are the protagonists.
