The skies are falling
Softly to the wet ground
Where you and I were lying late last night
After strolling through memories we had both long forgotten
Until life recalled them to us
Times when we could have cried tears of joy
At a world we embraced with the fury of our own embraces
And times when our tears
Seemed to say all that we could not
But somehow
Our embraces would be able to say it all, too.
So let us, you and I
Embrace in this wild world of insanities
To forget all that is forgotten
By the mere passing of time
For tomorrow can never bring us the peace we are truly searching for
As we pick our way through our lives
But maybe
Just maybe
By keeping you tightly wrapped inside this vise
We can keep from falling with the sky.
