Once upon a time
A little boy saw a little girl
And that little girl just sparkled and shined
Like a perfectly formed, ivory pearl.
The boy looks up at the girl
And she looks back at him
She throws him a smile
Just on a whim.
The boy asks the girl
"May I have a kiss?"
She giggles and laughs
Like, "You want some of this?"
The girl turns her head
To ponder awhile
This silly boy's request
And it gives her a smile.
"Why sure, little boy"
Replied the little maiden
And when she had kissed him
He thought he was in Eden.
Now here's this poor little boy
Touched by the hand of love
But to him, it felt like
The wings of a dove.
Oh, what's the boy to do
Without the little girl
He can't possibly live his life
Without his littler pearl.
Oh, this little boy's sad
This little boy's blue
Now why can that be?
It's because he doesn't have you.
