I forgot to love you today

It went by so fast

And time never gave me a chance to think

So I forgot to love you, at last.

It sounds so cruel of me to say

But imagine the pain inside of me

When you walked by every day

And instead of me, it's nothingness that you see.

It really doesn't matter to you if I forgot

Because inside, you really do not care

And sometimes I wonder to myself

If you ever really see me there

As you walk nonchalantly by

Waving around your radiant smile

As I stand there wondering to myself

If loving you is really worthwhile.

So don't be heartbroken and sad

That I forgot to love you this day

Because I still long to hear that love song play

And I long to have you hear me say

"I still love you."
