ON THE ROAD OF LIFE

On the road of life,
There is much strife,
Some cuts through you,
Like a knife.

Like the loss of family,
I've gone through such,
It tore me up,
And hurt me much,
I'll never again feel,
Their caring touch,
God I wish,
I could lock my pain,
Into a little hutch.

I tell myself it's just a dream,
But I know that's a lie,
My problem is,
I just don't know,
How to say goodbye.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this in remembrance of my grandmother who passed away shortly before I graduated highschool.
