Immersed in illusion,
Reality dead,
The world around me,
Filling with red.
 

Terrorists attacking,
Taking innocent lives,
Shredding humanity,
Like razor sharp knives.
 

These monstrous actions,
Fueled by dark hate,
The worst was 9/11,
All shall remember that date.
 

The tragedy I’ve seen,
I just can’t believe,
Telling myself it’s a dream,
But myself I deceive.
