Like every other light, you’ve faded
On this journey I am alone
I am afraid I may not make it all the way back home
You lifted my hopes then backed away
Dimmed down so far, I cannot see
The love that once burned so bright
That made us you and me

The glass you’ve shattered has fallen
It is falling down on me
Opening old scars
Slitting my throat so I may not breathe
The sun that used to shine on us has suddenly backed away
You used to be such a constellation
But I seem to have forgotten your name

Like every other light not shining
On this journey, you must let me go alone
For if I travel with you, I may not make it back home
You let me hope then backed away
Dimmed down so far, yet refused to leave
The light that made love burn so bright
Is the light I cannot see

As the light of the sky gets darker,
And the clouds become easy to see
It is not my fault, you refuse to shine
So don’t crash down on me…
