My Rememberance of You
As if you could read my mind,
you gently put your arms around me;
to comfort me; to hold me.
"I'll keep you safe. I'll keep you warm." you whisper in my ear.
You nuzzle my neck and kiss me so softly so not break this spell.
I hear nothing but your breathing. In. Out. In. Out.
Soon I can hear your heart thumping quietly against your chest.
I stare up into your emerald eyes for you then tell me that I am the only one who makes your heart stop.
As if a fire exploded when we kissed, I knew that you didn't lie to me.
I can still feel the heat of you on me; running through my veins.
This is my rememberance of you.
