Not for me the hedonism, the drugs, the sex, the drink
Not for me the globe-trotting, jet-setting, pleasure-seeking, world-experiencing
I don't care for new views, new sounds, new smells and tastes
I don't want peoples and places and actions and words
Leave me be, in my self-enclosed bubble of calm
My inert shell
My tempestuous thoughts of nihilism and debris
I am alone and alive
I am not a child of the universe
I am the universe
All-encompassing, all-bereft
And no one shall see me die.
