As I sit upon this stage,
I find the time to sit and graze.
And when you laugh at all my jokes,
I swell with joy and almost choke.
As I sit upon this stage,
I stare in fear as the spotlight fades.
I strain to hear a single sound,
And I drop a tear apon the ground.
As I sit upon this stage,
I love a lie and turn astray.
I play the part to please the soul,
While my guilt, eats me whole.
Here I sit upon your stage,
Writing words I dare not say.
Making rymes to fill my time,
As I wait for the day that you'll be mine.
