Your gift you want to give,

I feel I can't receive,

You tell me how you feel,

And I'll tell you what you believe.

You are leaving to stay with me,

I am staying to leave you,

Your mind is in tomorrow,

When today is already threw.

You broke my heart today,

When you asked for my hand,

You feel we are meant to be,

I see another plan.

You said if I don't except your gift,

Then my feelings of love aren't true,

I need some time to feel things out,

Before I settle for you.

I am a wondering spirit,

And your heart is based at home,

You want to tie me down,

I want to soar alone.

I don't want to be your wife,

Never again your girlfriend,

But I want to make you happy,

Until the very end.

I don't know what you mean,

By wanting me to be true,

You say I am your one true love,
