I worked, I tried, 

I toiled, I cried, 

The only thing gained 

Was a blow to my pride

I trusted, I yearned, 

I dreamed, I learned, 

Pain and depression 

Were the prized I earned

I smiled, I faked, 

I took all I could take

Told myself to keep fighting

For the mine and you sake

I reached, I aspired, 

I bled and prespired 

But I have to give up

I'm just too damn tired

I promise I tried, 

Fought the tears that I cried

But with no destination 

I want off the ride
